Fort de son succ\u00e8s, l’Empereur occupa rapidement Madrid, r\u00e9tablissant la domination fran\u00e7aise. Cependant, l’Empereur fran\u00e7ais n’a pas le temps de savourer son succ\u00e8s. \u00c0 Paris, Fouch\u00e9, Talleyrand et les Murat (Caroline, sa s\u0153ur et Joachim, son beau-fr\u00e8re) fomentent un coup d’\u00c9tat. Napol\u00e9on rentre en toute h\u00e2te le 17 d\u00e9cembre 1809.<\/p>\n

Une guerre contre l’Autriche se pr\u00e9pare \u00e9galement.\u00a0 Napol\u00e9on doit orchestrer la riposte, all\u00e9g\u00e9 de plus de 200 000 hommes qui resteront \u00e0 s’\u00e9puiser en Espagne inutilement contre une gu\u00e9rilla incessante et des forces anglaises bien d\u00e9cid\u00e9es \u00e0 ne pas se laisser faire.<\/p>\n
